Existing surface and base

Cracks, settlement, potholes, and soft edges help determine whether repair, resurfacing, or replacement should be considered.

Water movement

Show where water collects and how the surface meets the street, garage, drains, or nearby pavement.

Property access

For homes, note how vehicles enter and park. For commercial properties, include traffic patterns, delivery access, and any work-window limits.

One material. Another setting.

Property use changes the work needed: traffic, access, edges, and connections.

Good things to know.

Can an existing asphalt surface be resurfaced?

Sometimes. Resurfacing may be appropriate when the base remains usable. Widespread settlement or base failure may call for more extensive work, so the surface needs to be reviewed first.

What should I send with an asphalt estimate request?

Include wide photos, close-ups of damaged areas, the property location, the approximate project area, and notes about drainage or required vehicle access.

Can parking lot striping be included?

Yes. Describe the current layout, approximate stall count, faded markings, arrows, access areas, and any property documents that affect the requested layout.
